Happy Endings

So Shayna and her mom met the homeless kitties at Friday's adoption fair, held at my workplace, and I'm happy to say it was love at first sight.

After engaging with the playful pair in an empty office for about an hour, both daughter and mother knew that Tuna and Mya were coming home with them. They were going to rename their new pets, but Shayna decided that Tuna was a cute name for a cat. And the other cat's name is Mya, which is an anagram of her mother's name, AmyWas this destiny or what?

I'm just so glad that what started out as a painful week, losing Chloe, ended on such a happy note.

That is wonderful and I'm all teary. I was hoping that there might be a silver lining in this situation. It is so sad to lose a loved one, but I'm glad she has the companionship of two wonderful cats who needed Shayna and her mom as much as they needed the kitties to help heal their hearts. Here's to a wonderful life together!

This is Shayna's mom Amy. I'm happy to report that Mya and Tuna are settling in nicely in their new home. We just love them! They will never replace our beloved Chloe, but they are just what the doctor ordered.

We are keeping the names they were give at the shelter. Last night, Shayna realized that their initials, M and T, are the same as my parents. Given that I just lost my dad in August, we are positive that he and Chloe teamed up to bring these new additions to our household.

Thank you Eileen for bringing us all together. You did a mitzvah!
